Distracted Driver Dies After Posting On Facebook About The Song ‘Happy,’ Taking Selfies

Officials believe a woman who died in a car accident late last week had been posting to Facebook seconds before the fatal crash. Just prior to the wreck Thursday morning, Sanford updated her status. "The happy song makes me HAPPY,” she wrote, likely a reference to the hit song of the same name. "The Facebook text happened at 8:33 a.m. We got the call on the wreck at 8:34 a.m.," Lt. E-Cigs now banned In NYC wherever smoking is prohibited

At 12:01 this morning it became illegal to use e-cigarettes in New York City anywhere traditional cigarettes are banned. Now lawmakers in Albany want to extend that ban across the state. “Smokers’ rights end when they start affecting nonsmokers,” Assemblywoman Linda Rosenthal told the Post, adding that she "felt nauseous" when an e-cig user expelled vapor in her vicinity.  More…

Man jumps from bridge, accidentally hits boat on way down

Woman says she couldn’t let bank robber get away

A York County woman who her crashed her pickup truck to stop a suspected bank robber says she just couldn’t let him get away. Middle School Teacher Accused Of Giving Lap Dance To Student In Front Of Class

The average worker spends over five hours sitting at their job every day and a new study says it’s bad for your health, with some claiming the long-term effects of sitting can be as bad as smoking. “It’s not going to prevent risk for disease and weight gain if that’s all you do is go to the gym for 30 minutes or an hour and spend all of the rest of your day sitting.”  More…

Obama will burn more than 35,000 gallons of fuel, emitting 375 tons of carbon dioxide on Earth Day

President Barack Obama is marking the 44th Earth Day with a carbon-emitting extravaganza, spending more than 15 hours on Air Force One and 15 minutes aboard the Marine One helicopter.
