Female students sue Yale to admit women into male fraternities

Three female students at Yale University are suing the Ivy League school and nine of its male fraternities in an attempt to stop the school’s social organizations from admitting people on the basis of their gender. The women, who filed a class-action lawsuit in federal court in Connecticut on Tuesday, want to admit women to fraternities in response to alleged sexual assault, harassment and discrimination.  More…

‘Extra’ host suspended over sexual misconduct allegations

"Extra" host A.J. Calloway was suspended over the weekend after new allegations of sexual misconduct were leveled against him. Warner Brothers told The Hollywood Reporter in a statement that Calloway, who was arrested in June on a sexual assault charge that was later dropped, has been suspended as several women have come forward with new allegations.  More…

Amazon officials reconsidering HQ2 in NYC due to opposition

Online retail giant Amazon is reconsidering its plans to open a headquarters in Queens due to opposition from local lawmakers. “The question is whether it’s worth it if the politicians in New York don’t want the project, especially with how people in Virginia and Nashville have been so welcoming.” The company had said it would bring 25,000 new jobs and generate some $27 billion in tax revenue to New York.  More…
