ABC News health correspondent Dr. Jennifer Ashton sexts while making fun of her husband, noted thoracic surgeon Dr. Robert Ashton, on air in front of 2 million people in a segment of “The Doctors.” Dr. Ashton later killed himself by jumping off the George Washington Bridge just 2 weeks after the couple divorced.

The divorced ex-husband of ABC News’ Chief Women’s Health Correspondent Dr. Jennifer Ashton tragically took his own life on Saturday in New Jersey. Dr. Robert C. NY Jogger murder suspect: I strangled her because ‘I was angry’

The man accused of killing Karina Vetrano told cops he strangled the beautiful Queens jogger simply because he was in a bad mood, law-enforcement sources told The Post on Sunday. “I was angry. I had some issues at home. I just lost it. When I saw her, I just hit her and kept hitting her. I hit her and choked her,’’ said unemployed Chanel Lewis, 20, according to sources.  More…

A white woman who accused Emmett Till of verbally and physically accosting her in Mississippi in 1955 – inflaming tensions around the murder that helped spark the civil-rights movement — has admitted she lied, according to a new book. Botched SEAL mission planned under Obama, but left to Trump

The botched military operation in Yemen that killed a US Navy SEAL and over a dozen al Qaeda terrorists and civilians had been in the works for months before President Trump approved it shortly after taking office. Allman Brothers drummer Butch Trucks shot himself in head

Butch Trucks, the gifted drummer who co-founded classic rock’s  Allman Brothers Band, died after he shot himself in front of his wife of 25 years. The 69-year-old rocker’s entourage and police in West Palm Beach tried to keep the cause of his death hidden from the public. Trucks was hounded by the IRS, and last year, they filed two liens against his condo to force Trucks to pay additional taxes for a total of $540,000.  More…

Drew Carey’s brat kid was the firestarter at Trump Ball

The rebellious kid who boasted to a reporter that he ignited a fire at an anti-President Trump protest outside the “Deploraball” party is comic Drew Carey’s 11-year-old son, according to a report on Thursday. Mary Tyler Moore has died

Mary Tyler Moore, whose touchstone of a 1970s sitcom ushered in a new era for women on and off camera, has died. She was 80. After achieving fame on The Dick Van Dyke Show, Moore won four Primetime Emmys for her work as the spunky and unrepentantly single TV news producer on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, which ran from 1970 to 1977.  More…

Chicago hit with worst violence in nearly 20 years

Chicago shootings and homicides in 2016 have soared. Not since the drug-fueled bloodshed of the mid-1990s had the city witnessed such a toll. Grim milestones added up: The deadliest month in 23 years. The deadliest day in 13 years. 4,300 people shot. Through Dec. 26, 754 people were killed in Chicago compared with 480 during the same period last year, an increase of 57 percent.  More…

Pilot in fatal hot air balloon crash was high on drugs

The pilot of a hot air balloon that went down in a fiery crash in Texas last summer — killing him and 15 sightseers — had binged on a cocktail of drugs before takeoff, Bloomberg News reported Friday. Alfred “Skip” Nichols, 49, had ingested seven drugs, including the opiate painkiller oxycodone and Valium, according to a toxicology report.  More…
