Former mayor of “chocolate’ city found guilty of corruption

A jury found the former mayor of New Orleans Ray Nagin guilty of taking hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes. Nagin was criticized after Hurricane Katrina ravaged the city in 2005 for delaying evacuation orders, and blasted for insisting that New Orleans would remain a “chocolate” city.  More…
