· Owners to plead no contest in club fire deaths.  The owners of a nightclub where a 2003 fire killed 100 people will plead no contest to involuntary manslaughter charges, and only one will have to serve prison time, their lawyer said Wednesday. Victims' relatives were outraged.  Kathleen Hagerty said brothers Jeffrey and Michael Derderian will enter the pleas more than 3-1/2 years after pyrotechnics ignited foam soundproofing as Great White band started playing at The Station nightclub. 

· Band manager gets 4 years for nightclub fire deaths.  A band manager who started a nightclub fire that killed 100 people in February 2003 was sentenced Wednesday to 15 years in prison with 11 of them suspended, meaning he will serve 4 years. Daniel Biechele admitted 100 counts of involuntary manslaughter for igniting a fireworks display at a Great White concert that caused the deadliest blaze in Rhode Island history. 

· Former Band Manager's Sentencing Hearing Begins.  The sentencing hearing for the former Great White band manager who set off the pyrotechnics that sparked the deadly Station Nightclub fire will begin on Monday with victim impact statements.  Daniel Biechele will be sentenced for his role in the fire on Wednesday after he pleaded guilty earlier this year to 100 counts of involuntary manslaughter. Biechele could serve up to 10 years in prison under his plea agreement. 

· Ex-Tour Manager in R.I. Fire Plans Apology.  The former rock band tour manager who ignited pyrotechnics that started a deadly nightclub fire in 2003 has written personalized letters of apology to relatives of all 100 people who were killed. 

· Company Apologizes for Great White Title.  A record company that released a cover album by the band whose pyrotechnics sparked a deadly nightclub fire apologized Thursday for the title it gave the CD, "Burning House of Love." 

Great White Club Fire Prompts Pulling Of 'C.S.I.: Miami' Episode.  A Rhode Island television station is pulling the Monday (May 5) episode of C.S.I.: Miami because its depiction of a nightclub fire is too similar to the actual nightclub fire that killed 99 people in West Warwick, Rhode Island earlier this year.  more...
